Qwik Business Solutions is a business technology and operations consultancy founded by Norval Bullock, based in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Our work is grounded in something most software firms can't claim: over 35 years of hands-on operational leadership inside one of the Caribbean's most critical infrastructure organisations.
Norval serves as Manager of Emergency and Dispatch Operations at Jamaica Public Service Company Limited, where he has spent his career ensuring the seamless execution of energy distribution across the island. That depth in operations — strategic planning, dispatch coordination, and managing teams under real pressure — is exactly what shapes the systems Qwik Business Solutions builds. A major Jamaican electric utility was managing emergency dispatch overtime through paper forms — a slow, error-prone process with no audit trail and no analytics. We rebuilt the entire workflow as a role-based web application: Requesters file overtime requests against specific jobs and locations; Approvers review and approve with comments; Admins manage users and generate reports. Digital PDF certificates are produced automatically and signed in-app.
Outcome: Paperless, traceable dispatch process with real-time reportingLeadership at a regional utility needed a defensible analysis of distribution network reliability across multiple parishes — covering more than 16,000 outage events over a two-month period complicated by hurricane recovery operations. We built the underlying data pipeline, segmented performance by operational state, and produced an executive report with regional breakdowns, feeder-level hotspot analysis, response pipeline diagnostics, and a prioritised 90-day action plan.
Outcome: Board-ready analysis that explained performance and identified where to investDesigned and built a configurable payment workflow platform for organisations managing supplier invoices, purchase orders, and finance approvals across multiple departments. The platform is live in production, built entirely on Google Workspace, and includes a React dashboard with analytics, automated overdue alerts, and a full supplier management module.
